My littoral zone had a place     had intensified place for people & more     extremely had ideas taken place     & dissipated like a man crouching in a pit     his no particular status from     his moving parts     his seizures     his removal of his more irregular leaving city habits to be better left alone with the levees     though meeting a more lurid language around the stables     with men in search of a better river to annex & to dredge & nothing more     the more patient river residents & i     & the so & so in our veins

Dusty Neu is a poet and translator born and raised in rural California with an MFA from Brown University. He co-translated Alessandro de Francesco's Remote Vision from the Italian (Punctum Books) and his poetry has appeared in VOLT, Pear Noir!, and 3am. He lives and works in Rhode Island.
